Description
The Elentek TekSwitch is a digital pressure switch that starts and stops single-phase 230 V pumps up to 2.2 kW (3 hp, max. 16 A) based on pressure. It is based on the Coelbo Switchmatic 2. An internal pressure sensor measures the pressure continuously and shows it in bar or psi on a 3-digit display. Wiring is the same as for a conventional mechanical pressure switch, so it is a straightforward replacement.
Cut-in and cut-out pressures are set digitally and precisely: cut-in between 0.5 and 7 bar, cut-out between 1 and 8 bar. The factory setting is 3/4 bar. The switch also has an inverted operating mode, and two TekSwitches can work together in a cascade with alternating duty.
The TekSwitch protects the pump against dry running by monitoring its current draw. After a dry-run stop, the ART function periodically tries to restart the pump, so the system restarts by itself once water is available again. It also monitors overload and excessive cycling, for example caused by a faulty or flat pressure vessel. The control panel also allows manual start and stop and shows the current draw.
The pressure connection is 1/4" female with a swivel nut. Protection class is IP55, for water temperatures up to 40 °C and ambient temperatures up to 50 °C.
