VASCO V425-0121 frequency inverter

The VAriableSpeedCOntroller (VASCO) V425-0121 is a specially developed series of frequency inverters, designed for controlling and protecting pump systems based on variable pump speed. From water supply for domestic use, irrigation, commercial and industrial applications to heating and air conditioning, from filtration to high-pressure cleaning: the series is perfectly suited for any new or existing application and guarantees:

• extended lifespan of the pump system
• greater reliability

The frequency inverters are extremely compact and can control the pump's operation to maintain a constant desired pressure, flow rate, temperature or other parameter. The pump system only runs at the speed required to meet user demands, which ensures energy savings and an extended system lifespan. It also provides motor protection and monitoring, such as:

• protection against overload and dry running
• display of input current and supply voltage
• integrated soft start and soft stop functions that extend system lifespan and reduce peak loads
• recording of operating hours as well as error messages and alarms
• control of a second or third pump at constant speed (DOL: Direct On Line)
• connection to other devices for combined operation

The compact housing is made entirely of aluminium, making the device extremely robust, lightweight and easy to cool, which contributes to the unit's versatility. The IP66 protection rating of this controller allows installation virtually anywhere, including in humid and dusty environments. The illuminated LCD screen ensures easy operation and a buzzer immediately provides an alarm notification.

Simple installation

• Connect the device to the power supply.
• Connect the device to the pump.
• Connect the device to the sensor, located at the desired position in the line where you want to maintain the desired constant physical dimension (pressure, flow rate, fluid temperature, etc.).
• Set up the device to configure the pump for the system and the desired performance.

When the device is switched on for the first time, a brief installation wizard is required for the complete configuration of the drive. Additional parameters can be configured later by selecting three different setting levels:

• User level. This is the only level accessible without a password. It allows the user to monitor electrical and hydraulic parameters and the status of the device and pump.
• Installer level. At this level, the installer can configure the pump system according to the characteristics of the hydraulic system. A password is required.
• Advanced level. This level enables the electrical configuration of the device, tailored to the pump. A password is required.

Configuration and control via the app

Thanks to the Nastec NOW app, you can communicate with all Nastec Bluetooth® SMART devices to:

• Monitor multiple operational parameters simultaneously on the wide HD colour screen of your smartphone or tablet.
• View energy consumption statistics and check alarm history.
• Create programmes, save them in the archive, copy them to other devices and share them with multiple users.
• Generate reports with the option to add notes and images and email them or save them in the digital archive.
• Remotely control a Nastec device via wifi or GSM, using a nearby smartphone as a modem, via the free Nastec REMO service and connect to remo.nastec.eu.
