Description
The VAREM Flovarem FV003323CS000000 is a 3 litre flow-through diaphragm pressure vessel that dampens water hammer in the pipework. When a tap is closed quickly, or when the pump starts and stops, the vessel absorbs the pressure spike. This relieves the pipes, fittings, taps and pump controller, and stops the typical banging in the pipework.
The vessel is intended for use with a pump controller such as a Presscontrol, or with a pump that has a built-in pressure and flow switch. It also acts as a small water reserve: for small draws, such as a dripping tap or filling a glass, the vessel supplies the water and the pump does not have to start straight away. This prevents unnecessary cycling and reduces wear on the pump and controller.
The vessel has a double-opening membrane and a continuous perforated tube. Water flows through the vessel instead of standing in it. With a 1" male thread on one side and a 1" female thread on the other, it mounts directly in the pipework or on the pump controller, without an extra tee. The membrane is suitable for drinking water.
The vessel is supplied with a pre-charge of 1.5 bar and is rated for a maximum working pressure of 10 bar at water temperatures from -10 °C to +99 °C. Dimensions are Ø 170 × 265 mm.
